About me:

I’ve been making fresh, botanical sugar scrubs since 2003, shortly after being introduced to the concept of “if I won’t eat it, I won’t wear it” by the owner of the day spa I worked in upon graduating massage school. I also have had severe allergies to anything commercially scented, even the ones labeled “hypo-allergenic”. Those two combined led to the creation of Sweet Spice Essentials!

After working in the spa industry for a few years, I began teaching at a local massage school. This is when I began my herbology studies and continued to learn more about essential oils and “aromatherapy”. I have been using essential oils in my personal medicine cabinet since 2001 and am amazed at the therapeutic, healing wonders they offer.

Each of my products are individually handcrafted upon purchase. I grow my own herbs in my backyard greenhouse. I use only certified organic essential and carrier oils, seeds and spices to create my scrubs and salts.
